She came to The LifeCo Clinic in Phuket for cancer treatment. Nerine came to see us from South Africa and joined our cancer treatment program. Nerine was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2019. Her oncologist recommended undergoing surgery to get a hysterectomy. She said it was a hard decision since she was just diagnosed with cancer, and she was only 32. She remembered it being an emotional time. Her oncologist was very supportive, and she decided to have a hysterectomy. In the meantime, cancer had spread to the lymphatic system, so she had cancer in her left lymph nodes. She did not go through with the hysterectomy then, just had an operation for her lymph nodes. Then they recommended chemo and radiation therapy. She said when she did her research about chemo and radiation, the more she researched the suggested therapies, the more against she became. Then, she decided to search for alternative treatments. After trying some therapies at home, she wanted to have full-time support somewhere she could relax and focus on healing, not worrying about travel plans. She stated that being at The LifeCo Phuket Clinic has been an amazing experience. She had been overwhelmed by the love and kindness of people at the facilities. The staff has been very helpful, considerate, and compassionate. She said she comes to peace with her decision and being at The LifeCo Phuket Clinic, not having chemo and radiation, she feels amazing. She is happy to be in Thailand, knowing more about the culture. She stated she is also grateful for what she learns at The LifeCo Phuket Clinic about lifestyle and diet. She had no chance of getting exercise, but she thinks that she is getting there. She recommended having strength and courage from family, friends, or faith. She stated that her faith during this time had been exceptional support for her. She said healing is a journey, and it is happening. She learned to love her journey and be grateful for everything she had and everything that is to come. She said you should fight against cancer, but you can fight with love and compassion.
