Thank you. And I'd be remiss without thanking the board of directors of the Cancer Control Society and especially Lorraine Rosenthal, for getting this all together with the volunteers and the projection team. And, of course, my wife, who integral part of getting my PowerPoint together. So I want to thank all of you. And I want to just take a diversion briefly and say that before discussing my clinical study, which is an outcome based study, I want to comment on the caliber of people that I see at these meetings. And I've been attending them for over 10 years. And I initially was brought to these meetings by my colleague, Dr. Douglas Brody, whom you all know, a giant in the field of alternative medicine. And I also was a good friend of John Richardson, who was also in Reno. Doug and John were both colleagues of mine in Reno, Nevada. I'm impressed with the intelligence, the proactiveness, the perceptiveness of of you folks, because you do not accept the big pharma dogma. The you're not taken in by the the advertising that goes on TV with Big Pharma. That makes us all look like we're stupid. And you also realize that there's an adulterous relationship with Big Pharma and the FDA.
Big Pharma pays billions of dollars for the enforcement arm of the FDA in order to squash any competition from integrated alternative complementary doctors, whatever you want to call them, both M.D. Deo's natural pathic doctors, homeopathic doctors and Oriental medicine doctors. They do not want that competition in any way, shape or form. And I think this audience I'm singing to the choir by saying that you're you're aware of that.
And I want to compliment you on your perceptiveness and only wish that more of our public was as tuned in to what's really going on behind the scenes when an M.D. gets on TV and and reads from the PDR and talks about a wonder drug that has maybe a ten or fifteen percent response rate. And then it then lists all the complications, the hepatic failure, the renal failure, even lymphoma. Mind you, a secondary cancer can be caused by this.
You understand why doctors are stooping to the level of used car salesmen and why conventional medicine has never been at a lower point in our history. In Nevada, we're very fortunate because our governor, Kenny Gwynn, has deemed it the health freedom state. And we are the first state, as far as I'm aware, to pass the Nevada Institutional Review Board. It was passed in the legislature this past past year. In 2005, it was lobbied for very hard by
