About Paul Anderson
PAUL ANDERSON, N.M.D. is a graduate of the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland and practices as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor in Seattle, Washington and Rosarito, Mexico. Well, thank you for having me. I'm very proud to be here. There is a companion handout that just goes through some of the things that I'm going to talk about in the slides as well.
And we'll get the PowerPoint up. There we go. All right.
So, as was mentioned, name. That's me. I'm Dr. Paul from Seattle, Washington. And this is this is my pedigree, as it were. I have just so you know, I've been involved in NIH funded cancer research and other types of cancer research as well. And was the original site director for Site one for the Kuzio study, which is ongoing right now. So I've had a long background. My my time in medicine extends back actually 41 years at this point and 25 of those as naturopathic physician. This is our clinic in Seattle where we do a lot of advanced type therapies. We do things like hypothermia, hyperbaric oxygen, et cetera. And I'm a consultant for this hospital in Mexico as well, where I helped them to devise a inpatient treatment plans. And I'm sure everyone gives the disclaimer I'm not giving any medical advice as I don't want to lose my license. But I'm to tell you about my my own experience. That's what we're going to do.
So when they asked if I would come and talk about brain tumor specifically, it it's always a daunting topic because there's no good cancer anywhere. Brain tumors, often the ones that you see are either a glioblastoma or maybe neuroblastoma as other others of that type. And as Frank was just saying, often people don't, you know, make it very long with those diagnoses. So the way I put this together, since we have a short time, is I want to have you go away with three big areas that you can think about in and think about working with whoever you work with for your health care, et cetera, your family or whoever has a brain tumor. But the reason that these have come up the way they have is in the beginning, say you go back 20, 25 years ago, is treating people with glioblastomas, other brain tumors. We often could get them better quality of life for they'd live a little bit longer. And, you know, ultimately, we would have no trouble keeping very many of them alive, which is one of the problems with those. So what I'm going to talk to you about today is kind of the evolution to what we do now versus what we did back then. And it involves diet, supportive supplements.
