This weekend to raise consciousness. Did you know that? We're raising consciousness about the disease of cancer. About prevention. Treatment.
And what are all the latest advances?
That's pretty exciting stuff, isn't it?
See, at this event, it isn't like there's just one or two magnificent keynote speakers. There's so much talent this weekend that the geniuses, scientists and people that have dedicated their lives to healing. Are on the docket. I mean, it's just one right after the other. And this article in USA Today in 2013 talks about that rather than just treatment of the disease of cancer science is now looking for a game changer. And the reason I wanted to have this right at the beginning of the conference is this. In my humble opinion, Cancer Control Society beat the USA Today in terms of committing themselves to bringing these game changers into the hands of those it needs into the public.
So will you give me a round of applause for Frank Cousineau and his staff for the game changers? They started forty three years ago.
Quite honestly, I didn't call the editors of USA Today telling them you're about 30, you're short of 40 years short. I didn't do that. You know, I figure some things are better left unsaid. But that's what you're in the presence of today. And as as the lectures go on, the energy is going to build. So how do I have the privilege of the platform?
It's because my background was working as a cranial sacral therapist. How many of you know what that type of therapy is? Mine? See, that's why I love these kinds of audiences. Energy workers, all this good stuff. So I was doing cranial sacral therapy. I had a private practice for 13 years. And one of my mantras, if you will, that I used to say to my clients when they would come in with TMJ and disk troubles, I would notice the medical profession would always want to do some type of surgery or some kind of fusion. And I would sit there, you know, hands on the occipital. And I would say.
Make surgery your last resort. It could be a permanent solution. To a temporary problem. Now, how many of you have heard my definition of surgery before?
Not so many. Well, anyway, from that work as a cranial sacral therapist, I published my first book titled Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos. And I wrote it before the events of September 11. So it was Grace that allowed me to take this book on an 18 month book tour because a book came out at a time
