Well, as he said, I have an alternative practice in Wichita Falls, Texas, and some of you may be familiar with the work of Doug Kaufman, who's written a lot of books on the fungal link with chronic disease, as well as a book called The Germ that that causes cancer. He's also also on a cable television show, Know the Cost. And his work has inspired me to look further into this fungal link. And that is what our talk is about today. And yes, this is actually my first time talking in front of a big group. So forgive me if I don't sound like I know what I'm talking about. I'm just terrified being up here looking at this sea of faces. It's it's crazy. Anyways.

First thing here is let's true or false?

If they didn't teach it in medical school, it must not be important. Well, of course, that's not true.

Next to a false. Is if you do.

Is that a fungal infections only occur in persons who have severely compromised compromised immune systems such as AIDS or those who have undergone chemotherapy or radiation. And that's not true either. We know that's not true. Fungal infections occur every day in normal human beings and a good example of that's athlete's foot. So what am I talking about when we talk about fungi? This includes mushrooms, yeast, mold, mildew, puff balls, rusts and smuts. I didn't know there were so many names for it. In any case, fungi are plant like organisms that lack chlorophyl. And they're considered nature's undertakers because they break down or decompose tissue that is dying or decay.

Fungi are opportunistic organisms, and that that means they'll take advantage of a void or a change in the natural order of things. For example, when you take antibiotics and I'm not badmouthing antibiotics and I'm not the first person up here today or yesterday that's probably said that. But in any case, when you take antibiotics, they kill off the bad bacteria. But they also kill off the good bacteria. And in the cases of the GI tract, this leaves a void that's often filled by fungi causing a fungal overgrowth of the GI tract. Most of you may have heard of this called despite osis or leaky gut.

I personally believe that that's probably the most prevalent fungal chronic fungal infection present in the world and specifically in the United States. Now, fungi produce mycotoxins. And these mycotoxins are toxic. They're the chemicals that are produced by the fungi. In order to enable them to survive and to ensure a food source. Most micro toxins can also kill other fungi
