About Geronimo Rubio Sr.
GERONIMO RUBIO, SR., M.D. has been the Medical Director of his own hospital for over three decades. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Autonoma de Baja California Medical School in Mexico. His research at Rubio Cancer Center specializes in immunology, customized cancer vaccines and adult stem cells for regenerative medicine for the treatment of cancer and chronic diseases. Honor to introduce Dr. Geronimo Rubio, the medical director of Rubio Cancer Center, because this doctor saved my life 13 years ago when I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer.
So my cancer diagnosis turned out to be a new opportunity and a new beginning when I simply said no to a mastectomy and chose immunotherapy, customized cancer vaccines that he's.
He cultivated and crafted. Thirty one years ago. They're just trending now in the States.
The reason that doctor lets me introduce him at this event, because this is one of his favorites, is because I'm actually the first point of contact.
When patients contact the hospital. So I'm going to take you on a brief tour and then turn over the microphone in the program to Dr. Rubio.
Our hospital has 10 inpatient suites. It's a gated facility in La Mesa, which is just fifteen minutes south of the Tijuana border. We have over 35 people on staff and all of the patients rooms are private. Rooms were built around a pool and a courtyard to give it more of a retreat like feel rather than an institutional clinical feel. And throughout the whole hospital, it's been remodeled and renovated. So nothing is more than three years old, which means that as Dr. Rubio's success has continued, he's reinvested in the quality care and facilities for his patients. So this is an example here of one of our private rooms, our dining room and a community room where patients can gather. You know, patients in this type of a journey of healing cancer are often just as important as any of the medical providers because they bond in their journey of health and healing. Do you know what I mean by that? So we set our facility up to orchestrate that. Every year at the show, we try to do something a little new and different. That's what's so fun about working with Dr. Rubio. He's far from done. He's still creating. When I went and had his customized cancer vaccines 13 years ago, he had five. We now have eight. Nine.
