OK. That's better. Thank you, Frank. I don't know how many times I've come to cancer control, but I do remember my first visit here was in 1980.
And so this for me is the 30th anniversary visit. And it's always a pleasure to be here. And my congratulations to Frank and to Lorraine and everybody else who's involved in this wonderful event. Today, I'm going to talk about a topic a little bit different than what I have talked about in the past.
This is the subject of my my new book, which, as you see, is called Customized Cancer Treatment.
And you'll hear the phrase sometimes you hear the phrase chemo sensitivity testing in regard to this test that I'm going to discuss. It's a bit of a bit misleading because although this test can be used and is used sometimes to pre try chemotherapy, chemotherapy drugs before they're inserted into the into the body, it actually can be used for almost any agent that kills cancer as long as the cancer is killed through the mechanism of programed cell death or APA ptosis, which is the probably the most desirable way in which you can kill a cancer.
This test should be able to detect which drugs or which age natural agents or which anti blood vessel agents will work for you or for the person that you're who is dealing with cancer.
I have nothing to declare in terms of in terms of conflict of interest. I'm not involved in any of the clinics that give this this sort of treatment.
The value of the test is best summed up by Robert Fine, who is the director of medical oncology at the Pancreas Center at Columbia University. And he said in Scientific American. Just over 10 years ago, current ways of treating people are almost barbaric compared with what this test can do. And you see you can see and this will be the first of a number of quotes from not from the leaders of alternative medicine, but from people within. And in fact, people's people at the highest levels of conventional medicine. So what we're talking about is not alternative, but it is something that is at greatly at variance with the way that most chemotherapy and most natural medicine is practiced today. Well, this is this test is sometimes called C. S R a I call it in my book, I call it just simply the test. And C. S R A refers to chemo sensitivity and resistance assays. These are defined as laboratory procedures in which anti cancer agents are brought into direct contact with an individual patient's own cancer cells. So
