Very honored and very grateful that you're supporting my nutrition with a mission. And now I think it's time to open up a can of worms. And that's what my book guest, what came to dinner Parasites in your health is all about. And quite honestly, I learned about parasites about 40 years ago when I walked into the classroom of Dr. Hazel DPAs cells who looked among 50 of US students and said eight out of ten of you are probably harboring one or more uninvited guests. She said, make no mistake about it. Worms are the most toxic agents in the human body. They're one of the most primary underlying causes of disease, including cancer, and are the most basic cause of a compromised immune system. I then had the honor many years later of studying with a very well-known parasitologist who is from Columbia and was affiliated with the World Health Organization. And Dr. Herman Waino said to me that he had not seen any case of cancer in which there wasn't some type of parasitic involvement, whether it was the cause of the cancer or is an opportunistic infection. But he also mentioned something which was extremely interesting and portended of what we find now. And he told me that some of the most difficult to treat cancers, including pancreatic cancer and bile duct cancer, he had traced to a rarified form of giardia, a very toxic form of giardia, which is one of those microscopic invaders. So the reality is we have a tremendous problem right here in the United States. It's not being identified. So is Dr. Parcel's taught me so many years ago. Eight out of 10 of us may, in fact, be involved with parasites is a matter of fact. It is such a problem because infection rates have actually doubled since 1978. And the chilling reality is that in one particular national survey, which was the 1978, we found that one in six had one or more parasites 20 to 30 years later, we found that it was one in three. So parasites are still on the rise. They're now absolutely very neglected. Nobody's talking about it anymore. And it's an inconvenient truth that continues to rise because we're so very deficient in digestive enzymes, which are our first barrier against parasitic infection. So the astounding facts are these. There are over a hundred and thirty different kind of parasites that have been found on our shores and they've been linked to over 385 diseases, many of which are known as incurable. We find that the symptoms go way beyond the digestive track. They're connected with leaky gut syndrome, auto immune
