Herbal Adrenal Support, Immune-Enhancing Bacteria
In this video, James Wilson spends about 27 minutes speaking on "Herbal Adrenal Support, Immune-Enhancing Bacteria" at the 28th Annual Cancer Convention held on Labor Day weekend by the Cancer Control Society.
About James Wilson
JAMES WILSON, D.C., N.D., Ph.D., received his Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) Degree in 1978 from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Canada and his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (N.D.) Degree in 1981 from the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine, Toronto, Canada. In 1991, he received his Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Human Nutrition from the University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona with minors in Pharmacology, Toxicology, Microbiology and Immunology. His research for his Doctorate was in Cellular Immunology. In addition, he holds Master’s Degrees from two other American universities: one in Bio/Nutrition and the other in Experimental Psychology thus totaling 26 years in formal Post Secondary Education. He is listed in The International Who’s Who in Medicine (Cambridge, England) and has been in private practice in Canada and the U.S.A. for 25 years.
Dr. Wilson was one of 14 founding fathers of the Ontario College of Naturopathic Medicine (OCNM), Toronto, Ontario (now Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine). These men pledged all their personal and professional assets to start the College, which currently has over 500 students attending classes to become Naturopathic Physicians.
Through writing, research, lecturing, clinical work and consulting with medical professionals worldwide, he has focused his attention on improving our understanding of Immunity and on finding better solutions for the many health challenges which stem from problems with Nutrition & Immunity. As a result of this focus, he has formulated and selected superior nutritional supplements to help resolve some of these health problems.
Dr. Wilson recently completed his latest book entitled Adrenal Fatigue: The 21st Century Stress Syndrome.

Thank you, Frank. Can you hear me all right?
Okay. Good.
Very good.
All right. So we're going to be talking about...
What happened?
Okay, here we go.
So I'm over here. So if you can't see me, you can see me over here. And if you want to look at the slide, you can look over there. So I'm on.
You ready?
Two Important Aspects to Healing
We're going to be talking about two important aspects of of healing, and that's adrenal support and enhanced immunity, using specialized bacteria for immune enhancement.
There's kind of a change of pace from what you've been hearing, you've been hearing a lot of technical things. And this is technical in some way, but it's also very humanitarian because what we find is, unless someone has proper adrenal support and a generalized immune support, they don't seem to do very well in chronic illnesses, including cancer.
Those are things that are too conspicuously lacking in our medical system and in the treatments, even in a lot of the alternative treatments.
So if you ignore these two aspects in a cancer patient, you have a decreased responsiveness to the therapies, there's increased opportunistic confection, there's greater patient discomfort, and there's also an increased death rate.
If you have this in a caregiver, and a lot of times a caregiver has been forgotten in their therapies. But the caregiver in my estimation is unsong heroes and heroines, because they're the ones that care, they're the ones of pray, they're the ones at rally, they take them to the doctors, they do all kinds of things. They stay with them. That's a very difficult task, as many of you know.
So, we need to support them too. And indeed, if the immune system, if they adrenals become weak in those people, what we see is increased fatigue, a decreased ability to handle the many stresses that go on to care caregiving. There's increased depression and greater susceptibility to their own illnesses.
In general, these people can suffer from compromised health in being the caregiver, and we don't want that. So there's ways to prevent that. We're going to talk about that.
In many ways, it's more stressful for the caregiver than it is for the cancer patient. And stress weakens the adrenals and the immune system. So this presentation is designed for people involved in treating cancer patients and their caregivers, the friends of caregivers, professional people, to help them develop a program for themselves.
Let's talk about the adrenals now. If any of you don't know, the adrenals are two glands that sit over the kidneys. They're only about the size of a quarter, about
