All right.
Let's see forward.
Does this work?
Okay. I should smile.
All right. Anyway, thank you very much for coming, everybody. Those of you who are very much interested in my work. There are a few videos at the back door that you might be able to snag before you leave. Otherwise, they're free at my office if you want to stop in Mission Viejo, California. Anytime, you can pick up free videos there.
And then up here, I've got the index cards that you can put in your index for when you need to know where I'm at and you forgot the number and all that kind of thing, because it's nice to know where a hyperbaric oxygen facility is when you know of a person who has a problem.
This is the outside of my clinic. We're about an hour south here of LA, and about an hour North of San Diego, and Mission Viejo. We've been in that area since 1978, I've been practicing alternative medicine, holistic medicine since then. And about 10 years, I started to specialize in neurorehabilitation with the use of hyperbaric oxygen.
Oxygen, of course, is the most natural drug we have. It's when you have oxygen under pressure. The pressure that you're using pushes or dissolves the oxygen into the plasma. And that's where and how it gets its mechanism of action by this forcing oxygen into the fluids of the body. And so hopefully I'll try to explain some of the mechanisms of action. It's all on my web site, and my web site is www.strokedoctor.com.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapies
These are my hyperbaric chambers. You see in the background here are television sets. There's a large window here in front. The patient is sitting upright in there watching the television. There's portholes on both sides so they can look to their left and the right and they look straight ahead. And because of this positioning, the person generally is quite comfortable and there's very little troubles with claustrophobia.
This is just the chair and you can see how you sit down on that, and then that's slid inside and the doors shut. And while they're in there, the person breathes oxygen through a mask. Contrary to the chamber that's illustrated here, where the person lies in it and does not use a mask, these chambers, they utilize 100 percent oxygen that is compressed.
And so to get into that, you need to take off your street clothes, and don non-flammable types of materials because 100 percent oxygen under pressure can be quite dangerous if you have a spark or some kind of accident that could occur
