CHRISTINE HORNER, M.D., Fellow Of The American College Of Surgeons received her Medical Degree at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. She completed a General Surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati and a Plastic Surgery residency at Indiana University, Indianapolis. Dr. Horner is board certified in both General and Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Horner is a nationally recognized surgeon, author, expert in natural health, and a relentless champion for women’s health. In the late 90’s Dr. Horner spearheaded a national campaign to pass laws requiring insurance companies to pay for breast reconstruction following a mastectomy. Her 5-year effort led to laws in 35 states and a federal law passed by Congress on October 21, 1998.

Dr. Horner helped to create and then hosted the first-ever syndicated news segment exclusively focused on Complementary and Alternative Medicine and natural approaches to staying healthy from 1999-2001. In 2001, the segment was syndicated on the WISDOM Television Network, reaching 5.5 million households.

Her book, Waking The Warrior Goddess: Dr. Christine Horner’s Program To Protect Against and Fight Breast Cancer won the Independent Book Publishers Award 2006 for “Best Book In Health, Medicine and Nutrition.” Now in its third edition, the book presents a simple 30-step program to help women incorporate healthy lifestyle changes to protect against and fight breast cancer naturally.
