Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.
So many of you have asked me about the situation with Coretta Scott King. I'd rather not dwell on it.
If I had if we had had some problem with that particular case, I would be happy to share you with you. But as those of you know who followed the story, the King family totally was behind the hospital, Santa Monica and all the things they did. In fact, the daughter who was with her mother when she passed away said that those last three days of her life or the easiest days that she had had four months and her mother was actually very happy. Now, I'm not saying that anybody is happy to die, but it was just the type of thing that I don't know how you avoided. People said, why do you take famous people? Well, believe it or not, famous people have as much right to life as non famous people. So you can't really turn them away. Sometimes my doctors get upset with me because people come in who are on the verge of death. But again, it is my belief that everybody who wants to and has the financial wherewithal to try something else should have the right. Let me tell you about a case that just occurred here less than two weeks ago. Those of you come down on the trip on Wednesday can meet this lady. She came in in a wheelchair.
She could not talk. She could not walk. Brain cancer.
And the physicians had totally given up on her. Her family came with her two daughters and her husband because they didn't know if she was going to die while she was down there. In 10 days after she was there on the 10th day, which was last Wednesday, three days ago, I was down at the hospital.
The lady was not only walking.
She was talking and practicing with her family for the biweekly talent show that the patients put on every other Friday night. This was a dramatic turnaround. And yet, if you had seen the lady when she came in and fortunately we had a videographer there, you documented, you would probably say, why do you accept patients like that? Because every so often we see a dramatic turnaround that just really lifts you up and says, well, you've got to be doing something right.
How do I start this thing?
Do I press something here? No, that is how do we get the video started here at.
No, that wasn't it.
Hello, Clinton. How are you?
We had to do something over here, folks, crew. We have to do
