Self-Help, Cancer Patients
In this video, Robert Erdmann spends about 32 minutes speaking on "Self-Help, Cancer Patients" at the 28th Annual Cancer Convention held on Labor Day weekend by the Cancer Control Society.
About Robert Erdmann
ROBERT ERDMANN, Ph.D., C.N.N. received his Ph.D. from Columbia University, New York City, New York. After 26 years in San Jose, California, he went to England and started a Nutritional Counseling Practice in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Eight years later in 1994, he returned to the U.S.A. After passing the certification test of the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists, located in Dallas, Texas, he resumed his Nutritional Counseling Practice in Port Orchard, Washington. He still maintains his ties to Europe.
At present, his professional affiliations include the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists, British Society of Nutritional Medicine, Orthomolecular Medical Society, International College of Applied Nutrition and American Psychological Association. Sweden honored him in December 1997 with a NOBEL BELL Award for his sharing of information, unique tests and treatment of untreatable health cases. (The only non-Swedish person to be so honored.)
Dr. Erdmann believes in a total approach to health using biochemical blood, urine, saliva and hair tests. He also uses electronic tests such as the Anthroscope, Oxypulsemeter, Biotron and SCIO quantum biofeedback unit to assess metabolic imbalances and toxins interfering with health. Where metabolic weaknesses occur, he recommends correcting these with diet, supplementation, circulation stimulation and a change in health habits. Additionally, he uses a Cymatic Unit, which is a sound and magnetic device from England.
In addition to having published many articles in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine published in England, Dr. Erdmann has authored 7 health books, ranging from the classic The Amino Revolution to Fats That Can Save Your Life. His latest is When The Doctor Says Its Cancer. Published in 1999, this book is being updated to include many new, successful non-toxic therapies.

Well, after after that talk in Turlock, then they invited me to come talk here.
And I want to tell you about my impression of that very first conference. Now I'm looking out here, but I have to tell you that I'm blinded by the lights that are illuminating me. So if you smile at me or shout at me or something, I mean, I can't see you, I'm blind on the lights.
Well, anyway, that conference, I was overwhelmed by the amount of information that was passed out in the 3 days here. And I thought, my gosh, this is information overload. And so I was motivated to write a book called "When the Doctor Says...." I have written 7 books, but I've made a little handbook because there are things that you can do regardless of what your ultimate decision is. And if you've got cancer, I want you to get started on this. By the way, they're non-toxic, they can't hurt you, and I want you to get started on that.
Before I start, I would like two things to happen. But first of all....
Is there anybody here that thinks that what you eat and drink has nothing to do with your health?
Oh, there's one.
Must be a medical doctor.
Success Stories From Alternative Therapies
Okay. One of my first pieces of advice is if you think that you've got cancer or not, is to get a second opinion. About two months ago, a therapist who does rolfing had a patient that was scheduled to get her thyroid chopped out because her thyroid was starting to swell. And she sent her to me and I put her on the Biological Terrain Assessment. You see, everything that lives has an optimum environment that fosters its growth, and the biological terrain measures acidity, the pH, which you've heard so much about. It measures the redox potential.
Now, redox potential is extremely important and most people don't know what it is. It's been mentioned here, but it's really the amount of electrons, and nothing happens in your body except as a result of electron transfer.
Okay. And the other thing that it measures is conductivity or resistance, which is related to the number of minerals. Anyway, she came to me, facing this immediate surgery on chopping out her thyroid because they thought, well, it might be cancerous. And I said, well, your biochemistry here is not in the cancer things. And other things can cause your thyroid to swell like a lack of iodine. Do you eat iodine in your salt or any place? She didn't eat seafood. She didn't use iodine. And so we did an iodine
