Much for being here. Thank you, Frank.

Thank you all for being here this morning. It's a little early on a three day holiday weekend. I currently I'm involved in the business of purifying water for people in their homes or businesses, production facilities.

And I got involved in water purification as a result of being involved in social justice activities over the years, starting in the early 90s, began with fighting the FDA, who had been trying to suppress the use of vitamins and herbs, which is ongoing. It was just a very high profile and people were just learning about it at that time. And I had the privilege in for a number of years of working with the late Dr. John Yamma.

Yoni's in a campaign to try and stop fluoridation in Los Angeles that had been voted out by a large margin in 1975. And 20 years later, they introduced a bill, HB 733, that bypassed the public vote, went directly to the legislature. And as many of you know, California has the best legislature that money can buy.

And also today, speaking directly after me as Jeff Green, Jeff Green is the national director of Citizens for Safe Drinking Water, who I have worked with over the years in the capacity of the director of the L.A. chapter of Citizens for Safe Drinking Water. And I just like to publicly thank him for his tireless efforts over the years to stop fluoridation across the country and primarily here in California. And I'd also like to thank Dr. David Kennedy D. D. S, who many of you know, who is the founder of Citizens for Safe Drinking Water.

And I the title of the talk today is Turning Poison into Medicine. The term turning poison into medicine is actually a Buddhist phrase that means similarly like the Chinese character. That means both crisis and opportunity simultaneously. You could also say it's when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. It's basically the challenge to turn a negative situation into a positive one. And similarly, this concept applies to many of you in the room here and to life in general. But those of you who are struggling with cancer find yourselves threatened with death as a result.

You dig deep and muster the courage and take a journey of discovery.

You find the Cancer Control Society and Lorraine Rosenthal and Frank Cousineau. At the end of this journey, you become a more compassionate, fulfilled human being because of cancer. You are and have been turning poison into medicine. Am I right? Is that the journey many of you have been on? And what I want to talk
