Wenda has been housewife and mother to our children until they left school and for the past 14 years grandmother to our two grandchildren. We are South Africans but involved as missionaries to Madagascar in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Africa for almost 28 years. We have moved back to South Africa but by God's grace the work still continues in Madagascar and I am traveling on a regular basis every quarter to tend to the upkeep of the work which has been progressing well. Wenda's cancer has now began to affect our work in Madagascar as well and I couldn't travel there for my recent scheduled trip to meet with our local teams and I had to tend to the work to the best of my ability via the internet and telephone and handing some of my tasks to my local assistant. I have a very big workload and now our computer is giving some serious problems and causing much frustration as well. Recently after not been able to travel to Madagascar one of the faithful supporting churches indicated they might be reconsidering their monthly financial support to us - even though there is definite growth. The next thing we noticed they didn't send last month's support while they also didn't communicate with us - so we guess they decided to terminate their support because I couldn't travel to Madagascar for recent scheduled visit. (Yet during Covid there were no flights for about two years and I had to do whatever I could in support of the mission projects via internet, telephone and bank wires). I cannot afford to stop working because we lost 70% of our pension funds to an investment company which disappeared with our money 3 years ago. So we are very grateful there is much uncertainty and experiencing a serious crisis in several ways.

I am dealing with grief, loss, negative, stressful family members, memory issues, anxiety, insomnia, OCD. I am still having trouble healing from previous surgeries and broken bones and concussion from car accident in 2022. Cancer was discovered a few months after accident. I had a total hysterectomy with complications, and hernia surgery before the accident, both in 2020. I want to be able to have pain free days, think well, feel well, sleep well, interact with people without anxiety and be able to work again. I want physical, mental and spiritual well being for myself and my son. I want to be cancer free, meet my future grandkids and watch them grow up. I am doing all I can to try and make it happen, but can not do it without the Lord God our Saviour. With him all things are possible.
