Well, welcome.

For the last day and a half, you've been hearing about all these wonderful cancer treatments and other kinds of alternative treatments. And that's the good news. The bad news is sometimes the people that promote and use these treatments get into trouble. And I guess that's where I come in. For the last 25 years, I've defended medical mavericks, chiropractors, naturopaths, homeopaths when they get into problems with the state boards or criminal cases or insurance. I'll talk about this a little more. I decided finally, after all these years, to set some of these stories down. So I'm frequently published a book called Galileo's Lawyer. Many people in the field like the title because that's really what it's about. I mean, most of these mavericks have unproven treatments, but they're they're all cutting edge. What I'm going to do today is talk about two things where we are now in terms of freedom and also give you some idea of what's going on in the field from the legal point of view. Up first thing I'd like to do, and the other thing is I have a tendency to roam around. So if you can't hear me, just raise your hands or something because I tend to float around. First thing I want to do is acknowledge to people in the audience. The first is probably the most renowned and the most formidable, well, patients rights advocate in the country. He's been doing this kind of work for 40 years, 50 years, 60 years. Who knows, however. And that would be Clinton. Miller, Clinton's right here.

Certainly one of the most important people. Stand up an.

Probably one of the most important and effective people in the whole field. Next person I'd like to acknowledge and I could acknowledge a lot of people here, but I'm only going to pick two. Anybody ever hear the song?

I can't sing it. I fought the law, but the law won. Anybody ever heard that song? Well, there's another guy here who actually fought the law and he won. And that would be Jim Foresight. Is he around here? Dr. Jim Foresighted.

He fought the FDA and him with his attorney beat the FDA.

And because of him in this case and because he wouldn't settle, many of the doctors around the country have much more freedom than they would have otherwise. And for that, I think all of us owe a debt of gratitude to Jim.

OK. So where are we? First of all, how many people are out? Do we have any health care practitioners here? How many people are health care practitioners? OK. Quite a bit.
