About Earl Mindell
EARL MINDELL, R.Ph., M.H., Ph.D. (PHARMACIST, MASTER HERBALIST AND NUTRITIONIST) received his R.Ph. Degree in 1963 at the North Dakota State University, Fargo; his M.H. Degree in 1985 at the Dominion Herbal College, Surrey, BC, Canada and his Ph.D. Degree in 1985 at Pacific Western University in Los Angeles, California.

Thank you. About 40 years ago, the we had a president, President Nixon. Some of you might remember he started the war on cancer. Guess what? We've lost the war. In fact, the war is not only lost, but it is almost uncontrolled. They estimate now that one out of two Americans in their lifetime is going to have cancer. And it's getting younger and younger. So what are we doing about it? Very little, actually, to prevent it. Yes. They're trying to make you donate as much money for research. They're talking about the cure. They're having walks. They are doing everything they can to increase the amount of research and development of drugs, etc.. But when it comes to prevention, just about zero is a happening. They give me an idea. I've got a the first slide talks about the American Cancer Society. American Cancer Society is the largest nonprofit organization in the world. That amazing, the largest nonprofit organization, the world administration staff keeps better than 52 percent of every dollar that they take in. So when you give a dollar to the American Cancer Society, fifty two cents of that is going to the administration. And by the way, it's 22 percent larger than the Red Cross, who is the second largest nonprofit organization. So you can see this is big business. Only thirteen point three percent goes to actual cancer research.
And only four point nine percent actually goes to put to victim care.
So it's pretty interesting that we are really putting a lot of money into the pockets of the, shall we say, administration, not really to help with patients. Here's my two books. As we've mentioned, the new vitamin Bible, which is available actually around the corner. After the talk, I'll be autographing that and another book which I'll talk about in just a minute. So you can see that it's big business. Give me an idea how much how big of a business it is. 40 percent of the medical students today are opting for on ecology because it's a hot subject. You see, they have the availability to sell these expensive drugs in their office. So it's a very lucrative thing. Give me an example. You just move it over just a little bit to the left there.
Right. Well, not the other way.
OK, here's that one drug that talks about eight thousand one hundred and fifty two dollars for every two weeks, that extra up next. Drug Herceptin is four thousand five hundred and fifty dollars. And the third drug, Avastin, is four thousand five hundred and six dollars. And that's per treatment. One is
