Cancer Control Society

Of the program today is going to be a brief overview of the Cancer Control Society around the world and for us that began at least beyond the U.S. borders. It began began in the year of nineteen ninety five, and that year was the very first Cancer Control Society convention in Japan. And that was our first step, our first venue outside the United States. And that was the actually the result, the effort, the dedication of one man. And you're gonna hear a little bit from him in a moment. And of course, I'm talking about. I came Moriyama sensei from Chiba, which is near Tokyo, who had been coming to our convention for a number of years, actively participating in all the events. And he would bring a group of his fellow countrymen over to participate with him. And, of course, have enough people to interpret so that he could listen to the lectures, go to the tours, and then by emulating us, wanting to do the same thing in Tokyo. And he did that, as I mentioned, the very first year was in nineteen ninety five.

And we've done it every year since this year. Two weeks from today will mark the 10th annual Cancer Control Society in Japan. And what I would like to do is I would like to have Mr. Moriyama stand up so that you can see him also. I've asked him to at least say hello. And anything that he would like to tell you.
