KURT DONSBACH. D.C., N.D., Ph.D. received his Chiropractic Degree from Western States College of Chiropractic in Portland, Oregon, his Naturopathic Degree from Hollywood College of Naturopathic Medicine in Hollywood, California and his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Nutrition from Union University, Los Angeles, California.

I've been coming to the cancer control convention for well over 25 years now. It's always wonderful to see so many of you year after year, it's also nice to meet some of you new folks. But above all, I think you ought to give a little round of applause just to let them know people like Lorraine Rosenthal, Norman Freds, all of the others who have really been behind this organization to create this wonderful convention, why don't you let them know that you are appreciate it?
Year after year, I try to come up and offer something a little bit new because we're constantly trying to approach cancer in a little different way. And sometimes the old becomes the new and so forth. But just for a moment, I'd like to take a minute to tell you what's happened since last year in my life.
I was invited to speak to the International Congress on cancer, the International European Congress on Cancer in Norway, and actually I had the pleasure of speaking 3 times to the group. I was almost chewed up alive on my first presentation when I inadvertently showed this particular slide, and several of the doctors were a little bit unhappy about saying there had been no progress since 1950. But in fact, at least in the United States, it's absolutely true.
I was also invited to the oncological society in Poland to give a presentation, and I have just recently returned from both China and the Philippines. There is a tremendous worldwide interest in alternative treatment of cancer. I believe before the end of the year, we will have one of our hospitals in China. We are very, very close to that. We possibly by the end or middle of next year will have one in the Philippines; it's that intensive.
And yet as I was standing outside in the hallway, one of you came up to me and said, Dr. Donsbach, if the alternative approach to cancer is so great, why aren't you folks doing something about it? Why aren't you telling people, why aren't you getting a hold of our government officials?
And, you know, I kind of almost barked because, you know, it's been 44 years now that I've been fighting the government and getting the benefits of those tussles with the government.
And it suddenly reminded me a little bit about the story of the very faithful person who prayed every day and attempted to live his life as he thought God would want him to. And he was walking along the beach one day praying, and he suddenly heard this voice. "Son, you have done
