Well, I'd like to thank you for all showing up and listening and thanking the Cancer Society for having me speak. And I'd like to a special thank you to Lynne Ferrell from Breast Cancer Choices, who did ask me to speak here. So I have been practicing holistic medicine for close to 15 years, and the use of iodine has transformed my practice. I'll show you that I think it's the most misunderstood nutrient out there and that you can't achieve your optimal health or overcome illness without ensuring adequate iodine levels. So Edgar Casey, the sleeping prophet, said there are only four elements in the body water, salt, soda and iodine, if we have adequate amounts of these four elements and balance, the body is fully capable of creating all of the other elements in the universe. And I think that quote is apropos for where we need to go. I've written a number of books and I talk about all these elements in my books. But really we're going to focus on iodine for today because my book, it's in its second edition. There's so much to talk about. And I die. And I'm just gonna give you an overview in 20 minutes. And, you know, hopefully they'll be time for questions at the end. But there's so many naysayers, about 18 out there. And this is one of my professors in medical school and he said, don't take iodine. And he made it clear that we were getting enough iodine and salt and that you didn't need to take iodine. But when you pulled off his mask, this is truly what he looked like. And you can clearly see from his picture that he's not only hypothyroid, he's iodine deficient. And so I think that this gentleman would have felt much better if he would have taken iodine and wouldn't be looking like this. So the history of iodine, it was first discovered in 1811 by boosting gold. And he observed the miners in silver mining sites who had goiters had goiters disappear from the silver mining sites. I'm sorry, this is flipping on its own. And he found that when they went into these silver mining sites that the goiters disappeared. And he recommended that the use of treating iodine for treating goiters should be implemented.

Well, as we know, the FDA and AMAA and conventional medicine takes about 100 years to get it right. And it took them about a hundred years later to put iodine and salt to prevent goiters. But boosting Gault's idea was the first time that a single item iodine was promoted to treat a specific illness goiter. And it
