Pleasure to be here and thanks to Frank Cousineau and Norman Fritz and Lorraine Rosenthal for their incredible work here. I think we all owe them a great debt of gratitude. Thirty years of work. And I think hundreds of cancer patients are alive because of what they have done here. I know this is a fun group to speak with. I've been here before. I was in the back of the room when someone said, you know, Dr. Quillen, I. Out of my vitamin B twelve. Can I take two B sixes instead?

I love this group. I love to be here.

For the past 30 years, we've spent forty five billion dollars in the war on cancer with some brilliant discoveries, some brilliant people, a lot of money, a lot of P, H, D, M.D. have done some incredible work. And we now have an increase in the incidents and death rate from cancer. And five year survival is virtually unchanged. And what we have done is brilliant observations on the irrelevant and we're ignoring the obvious. And the obvious is that a healthy human body is self-regulating and self repairing. We seem to have ignored this. How do you cut yourself and get well? How do you break a bone and get well? How do you heal from a cold? How do you go to Chicago and then Mexico City and maintain a constant ninety eight point six inside your body because a healthy human body is self regulating and self repairing? A very powerful sound bite that could be a war on cancer has found is that the average adult gets six bouts of cancer in a lifetime. Did you know that? How many people in this room have had or now have cancer? How many people in this room? Maybe half a third. All of us have had cancer. You realize that abnormal cells are springing up all the time in cell replication. Abnormal cells occur. They duplicate. They create a tumor. The body's immune system recognizes it and it destroys it in two thirds of the cases, in one third of the case. You end up in a cancer hospital. Why? And instead of focusing on the two thirds of the times it works. We focus on the one third of the time it doesn't work. And we use cytotoxic therapies, chemo, radiation and surgery to try and cure it. Well, that has been a foolish, brilliant observations on irrelevant material like my friend Watson and Holmes. All right. So let's push ahead. The second is, do not second guess Mother Nature. You're going to have a talk later today. Sunlight's good for you.
