Dr. Darrow emphasizes Prolotherapy at his Center and also teaches Prolotherapy at UCLA. Prolotherapy is a safe, highly effective yet relatively unknown Therapy used to heal chronic pain and musculoskeletal injuries by stimulating the growth of new collagen and cartilage tissue that rejuvenates the damaged ligaments, tendons, muscle fascia and joint capsules responsible for most chronic pain. With an injection of natural substances into precisely targeted areas of the body, knows as “trigger points,” the doctor activates the body’s natural healing process which stimulates the growth of new collagen and cartilage.

An avid sports enthusiast, Dr. Darrow discovered Prolotherapy after an injury on the golf course caused him to suffer the kind of chronic pain that afflicts millions of Americans.

A skeptic, Dr. Darrow became a believer in the therapeutic healing power of Prolotherapy after only one treatment to his wrist. Since then he has devoted his practice to Prolotherapy, an exponentially growing, natural therapy that is revolutionizing the way we heal pain. Dr. Darrow has treated thousands of patients. Many of these patients were scheduled for surgery and never needed it. And, several patients came to Dr. Darrow after a failed surgery and healed using Prolotherapy.

Dr. Darrow is the author of Prolotherapy: Living Pain Free. In addition, he has his own radio show called “Living Pain Free” on KRLA-AM-870, Sat. 1:00–2:00 p.m. & Sun. 2:00–3:00 p.m. (Rerun) in Southern California. (Nationwide on internet www.jointrehab.com)

What's a pleasure to be here and to see all your folks. And this is Dr. Vallens, who is my radio host, and we have a show every Saturday from three o'clock to four o'clock on Charolais eight seventy a.m.. I got put her back in business here. So we're here to talk about prolotherapy today, which is to me one of the greatest miracles that there is in healing pain. And a lot of people that have cancer, and I've been a survivor myself, seem to have quite more pain than other people just because the depression, the immune system. So what I'm going to go through here is I have about a two hour Electrum and a cut down, so I'll flip through some slides quickly and give you just a basic idea what prolotherapy is. This particular gentleman you see here is David Sloan, who used to play NFL football, who had a turf toe and three surgeries that failed. And prolotherapy was the thing that brought him back to be able to finish enough football to get his pension. That's all he needed was doc. Give me one extra year. So what is pain that's something different from everybody? I think that it has an awful lot to do with attitude. And Dr. Vallens has a radio show of her own, which is on Tuesdays from one to two on KPFA, ninety point seven AFAM KPFA.

It's called Inner Vision.

And what I find is something that Dr. Valan, who is a P H.T. in psychology, finds pain is different for everyone. And the people that have a great attitude seem to have less pain than people out of a poor attitude. I have people that come into my clinic all the time and they have this thing on their face like I am my pain. I have a herniated disc or I have this or that meniscal tear in my knee, rotator cuff from my shoulder IV neck pain of back pain. But they become their pathology and that's something they wear right on their face. And they don't want to take that off for some reason. And myself and Dr. Vallance also work together to help people get the idea that you all know, because I know the people that come here are very special and that they've worked through a lot of issues inside of themself to get to the positive aspects of who they are. And that works a lot with healing. I always like to ask how many people in a crowd have chronic pain? So I'm going to raise my hand and please raise your hands. We got an idea.
